Sahs School has had a lot of changes this year! First of all, Mrs. Chesser has retired and we wish her good luck on being retired. Now we have a new librarian named Ms. Maloney. I really like her so I wanted to interview her and I’ll fill you in on some information about her and some changes to our library this year. Ms. Maloney said that she ordered a lot of new books this year. She said that the kids inspired her to do this. Her favorite book characters from books we have in the library are Piggie from Elephant and Piggie, Marlene from Frizzy and Judy Moody from the Judy Moody series. Some books Ms. Maloney will soon add to the library are Creepy Crayon, Creepy Carrot, and Creepy Pair of Underwear.
Now, about Star Reader-- the first quarter ended on October 22, 2024. A lot of kids made their Star Goals and that’s awesome. I can’t wait to see what the 1st quarter reward is going to be! To make your goal you have to have an 80% or higher, enough points and you have to make sure that you are taking books that are your level to make your goal. The second quarter deadline is January 14th. Make sure you are reading every day! That’s all I have to say about the library and Ms. Maloney. Have a great day!
